Church and family licence terms: Sunday School Story & Lesson
1. Who we are
These terms are between you and Abel Isichei trading as BrightPath Audio, a UK sole trader ("we", "us").
- Address: Ref 173594, Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FA, United Kingdom
- Email: hello@brightpathaudio.com
- ICO registration number: ZC258939
These licence terms sit alongside our general terms and privacy policy. If they conflict, these licence terms apply to the packs.
2. What you're buying
You're buying a licence: permission to use our materials in the ways set out below. We (or the people we license from) keep ownership and copyright of all materials.
| Product | Price | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Church term pack | £29 per church, per term | One church (see section 3) |
| Spring Term 2027 founding-church price | £24 per church, for orders placed by 11:59pm UK time on 31 December 2026 | One church, Spring Term 2027 pack only |
| Family edition | £9.99 per term | One household |
| Nativity church pack (4 Sundays of Advent 2026) | £15 per church | One church |
The weekly audio story is a free podcast for everyone. It is not part of the price, and you don't need a licence to listen to it.
Prices include VAT where it applies. Our checkout provider, Payhip, collects and pays VAT on our behalf.
3. The church licence: what "one church" means
One church licence covers one congregation meeting at one place, including all children's and family activities run by that congregation (for example, Sunday school, crèche, midweek clubs, holiday clubs and all-age services).
If your church has several sites or congregations, you need one licence for each.
4. What the church licence lets you do
You may:
- share the leader guides with your own leaders and helpers, including by email or a private shared folder used only by your church;
- print or photocopy as many activity sheets as you need for the children in your church's groups;
- send activity sheets home with those children and their families;
- play the audio story in your sessions, in person or in a private online session for your group (such as a password-protected video call);
- adapt the session plan to suit your group (for example, shorten it or change an activity).
5. What the church licence doesn't let you do
You may not:
- sell, rent or give away the materials, or share them with other churches, schools or organisations;
- post the leader guides or activity sheets publicly online (for example, on a public website or social media), or in a public livestream;
- remove our name or copyright notices;
- use the materials, or any part of them, to train or develop AI or machine-learning systems;
- claim that you wrote the materials.
Sharing a single activity sheet in a church newsletter or on a private parents' group for your own congregation is fine.
6. How long the licence lasts
The licence doesn't expire. Your church may keep and reuse the materials it bought in later years. It doesn't include any future term packs. The Nativity church pack works the same way.
7. The family edition
The family edition is for personal use in one household only: at home, with your own children or family. It doesn't cover use in a church, school, club or any other group, even if it's free to attend. For group use, buy a church licence.
8. Free sample lesson
You may print the free sample lesson and use it with the children in your own church or home. Please don't sell it or post it online. You may share the link to the page where it's available.
9. Delivering the files
We'll send your download link by email. For pre-orders (such as the Spring Term 2027 pack), we'll email the link when the pack is ready. We show the delivery date on each product page before you buy.
Please keep your own copy of the files. You can download your files up to 5 times. If you need more, email us and we'll reset it.
10. Changing your mind: 14-day cancellation
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you buy online as a consumer, you normally have 14 days from the day you buy to cancel and get a full refund.
- Digital downloads. At checkout, we'll ask whether you want access straight away. If you tick the box (it will never be pre-ticked) to agree to immediate access and to confirm that you understand you'll lose your right to cancel, you lose that right once the download starts. We'll confirm your consent in your order email.
- The box is never ticked for you. If you'd rather keep your 14 days to cancel, email us before buying and we'll help.
- Pre-orders. You can cancel within 14 days of ordering, for a full refund, as long as you haven't started downloading the files.
- How to cancel: email hello@brightpathaudio.com with your name and order details, or use any cancellation form provided with your order. We'll refund you within 14 days of your cancellation, using the same payment method.
We give churches and other organisations the same cancellation terms as consumers.
11. If something is wrong
If a file is faulty, won't download, or isn't as described, tell us. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we'll repair or replace it, and if we can't do that within a reasonable time, you can get a price reduction, which may be a full refund. This doesn't affect your other legal rights.
12. How our content is made
Episodes are created and narrated with AI. Some episodes publish automatically. After publishing, the BrightPath team checks every episode for quality and child safety.
Our stories are retellings for children. Every lesson lists its Bible references so you can read the passage in your own church's translation.
Leader guides and activity sheets are written with the help of AI tools and checked by the BrightPath team before release.
13. Safeguarding and children's data
You're responsible for running your sessions safely and for following your own church's safeguarding policy and the law where you are. Our safeguarding notes are guidance only and don't replace your policy.
We never ask for children's names, photos or voices. Please don't send us any personal information about children. We use the buyer's details (name, email address and church name) only to deliver and support your order, as set out in our privacy policy.
14. If the licence terms are broken
If the materials are used in a way these terms don't allow, we'll contact you first and ask you to put it right. If it isn't put right within 14 days, we may end the licence, and you must then stop using the materials.
15. Our responsibility to you
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, for example for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
If you're buying for a church or other organisation, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for the pack.
16. Complaints
Please email hello@brightpathaudio.com. We'll reply within 5 working days.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future purchases. The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones shown when you bought it.
18. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
Personal-use licence: Story Packs
Story Packs (for example Autumn Walks) are licensed for personal use only. When you buy one, BrightPath Audio gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to listen to the files and print the card labels for use by you and the children in your own household.
You may: play the audio on your own devices; make a copy for your own backup; print the card labels and read-me for your own household.
You may not: share, sell, upload or publish the files or any part of them; use them in a church, school, nursery, club, childminding setting or other group (please email hello@brightpathaudio.com for a group licence); use them to train or feed any AI system; or remove the notices in the files.
The stories and the artwork belong to BrightPath Audio. The voices in the audio are AI voices, not real people.
Faulty or wrongly described files are repaired, replaced or refunded; email hello@brightpathaudio.com with your order details. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected by anything on this page.
